Building Updates: Staff Tour, Floor Plan & More
As we continue working toward our deadline of opening up the new campus in July, we’re making significant strides in school improvements and customizations.
Staff tours new PS Campus for the first time
Our Director of Admissions, Kathy Britton, hosts the Facebook Live Video of the first tour we take. This was the very first time teachers and staff got to tour the new facility. The latest new building updates:
We’ve contracted an architecture firm, Wolverine Builders that specializes in school design. They are officially under contract and have started the field survey of the building and are researching current codes to match our occupancy at the Town of Gilbert.
They sent us the initial design layout and we’ve made a few changes based on what we think is most suitable for our classroom needs.
A follow up site meeting will take place this week with the selected contractor.
What’s next? The details!
Currently we are researching classroom furniture, playground equipment, gym equipment, theater equipment and kitchen designs.
The contractor will start building out the infrastructure; putting up walls and installing the underground plumbing.
We‘ll be getting into reviewing classroom layout requests as well as minute details like millwork.
We have a meeting set with a contractor to discuss options for flooring.
