For families and loved ones of children with autism, it can be especially comforting to find support amongst other people who can understand the experience of life on the spectrum, even if they don’t share the same zip code.

After being diagnosed with autism at age 3, Haley Moss’s parents were told she might never be able to live independently or work in anything but a minimum wage job. Fast forward to present day, where Moss is the first woman with autism to pass the Florida Bar Exam. (Go Haley!) 

Today she is a licensed attorney, author, artist, and advocate for people with autism and disability acceptance. Her Instagram account passionately challenges others to view the world from her perspective and encourages them to focus on everything people with autism can achieve, rather than their limitations.

Louise Chandler, the creator behind the account Neurodivergent Lou, is a 21-year-old documenting her journey in the world as a neurodivergent person. Her account offers a refreshingly honest perspective about life as a girl with autism and focuses on raising neurodiversity awareness, educating others about life on the spectrum, and providing resources and coping mechanisms for people who have received an autism diagnosis.

Her account features easy-to-understand digital illustrations that she creates to educate people on the complexities of living with autism and sensory challenges. 6. The Autism Dad | @theautismdad

Rob Gorski is a father to 3 sons on the autism spectrum, as well as a blogger and podcast host. Gorski shares his challenges and triumphs as a single parent of multiple children with autism.
