Our son Alex attends the most amazing program. Alex has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). In August of this year Alex began attending Pieceful Solutions, a program specialized to serve children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Pervasive Developmental Disorder. Sending our son Alex to this program has changed his life. Prior to attending Pieceful Solutions Alex attended Kindergarten at a public school. Although Alex was in a good environment, and was provided with special assistance and therapies at school, he suffered greatly due to serious social anxiety associated with ASD. He cried before school every single day, and was unable to perform academically. The pressures of being forced to integrate with typical peers left him feeling insecure and nervous because he could not relate to his classmates. At Pieceful Solutions, Alex is thriving. The teachers and staff are phenomenal. It is truly as if this program was created specifically for Alex. The program at Pieceful Solutions creates a happy and non-threatening environment for kiddos with ASD. Pieceful Solutions also provides Alex with a structured academic environment. He is performing above grade level in several areas!! He is so happy to go to school every day!! He has so many friends, and is more social than ever. We are so grateful to have found such a fantastic program for Alex.

My son Matthew started school in the Pieceful Solutions program this school year. My husband and I are so pleased with the program and teachers. Everyone has been wonderful and very helpful when we have questions. They have a very structured program which is great. The children know what to expect and respond very well. Matthew is excited to go to school again. I no longer have any issues with him getting ready and out the door in the morning. When we pull up to school or he sees one of his teachers he always has a big smile. He is learning so much more than he did in his previous school. We have seen such growth in him in just the first 3 months of school. Pieceful Solutions is an amazing program.

We love the changes Asher has made over the last few months. His academic and social skills have become more evolved to those of children his age. This would not have been possible without the staff at Pieceful Solutions who have/are dedicated to Asher and his development on all levels. Thanks so much!

I would like to express how much we appreciate the enormous positive contributions that Pieceful Solutions has made for (our daughter). We have seen a change in (her) physical and cognitive development. Pieceful Solutions created an individualized curriculum to meet my daughter's needs whereas the Public School has a one size fits all curriculum.

My grandson, who has autism, tried the public school option for 2 years of preschool and 1 year in a self contained classroom. I can’t tell you how disappointed we were with the public school. My Grandson literally cried and sat in a corner unengaged most of the day, everyday. Sadly the teachers are untrained, unqualified, and uneducated on the how to teach these children with autism. The teachers themselves are not totally to blame. The districts are either unwilling or unable to give these teachers the training, tools, and facilities that are so vitally important to teach these children. They seemed to be deaf and dumb to our constant efforts to try to get more help from them. In the private school, Pieceful Solutions, where my grandson attends he is actually blossoming, he’s proud of himself and his daily achievements. Something I thought I would never see! He’s reading, he can do simple math problems he is even learning about the human body and he is interested in learning. It’s like a miracle! He receives everything he needs to fulfill his academic needs and requirements, and is also able to learn self help skills, fulfill his sensory input needs, learn how to communicate with others, improve his speech and so many things I can’t think of them all. He has his own individual learning plan geared just to him and he is thriving.

My son with autism attended regular public instruction for kindergarten and only part of first grade. The large class size was very intimidating and over stimulating which caused quite a bit of anxiety. The only options available to us at the time was a different public school which would have the same amount of students, a private school which we could not afford, or home school. We chose the latter, it afforded the time he needed to relax and absorb new information, but he needed more of an opportunity to practice what he was learning at home. I was looking for a safe, small school with experienced teachers to enroll my very special and anxious little boy! My friend highly recommended Pieceful Solutions. I am so grateful to Pieceful Solutions because it has been the most gentle of transitions my son has ever had to make. The very individualized attention and small class sizes are simply perfect for him! He is truly blossoming, making new friends, working hard in his studies, and making his way in the "real" world. The staff is very respectful to his needs but also allow him to make his own mistakes, find solutions, and give him the encouragement he needs to be confident in himself - and for this we consider ourselves truly blessed! I'd like to thank Kami for starting this school which helps those special children that just need that little extra time and attention!

Kami,
I just wanted to take a moment to talk about Pieceful Solutions and the
impact it has had on our son, Hunter. We appreciate the effort made to
individualize the program to his needs, which I believe it does. He has been
through so much this year, with the death of a classmate, the death of my
father and the death of my grandmother-in-law, with whom he was very
close. Also, my pregnancy has added a lot of stress and changes to our
family. But Hunter continues to enjoy school and it is an important constant
in his life. I look forward to getting my younger son, Jackson, evaluated for
the Pieceful Solutions program, as well. We plan on moving to Gilbert from
Chandler over the summer so that I can perhaps get involved more with the
school's PTO, like I did when he went to school in Maricopa. Thank you
again.

We have been very pleased with the Pieceful Solutions Program. This is our
second year with them and my child has grown leaps and bounds. He still
has things he has to work on but the small group help he gets with this
program is definitely leading him in the right direction. The staff is amazing
and friendly and he LOVES coming to school now which we didn’t have
before. He is actually learning things and loves it now as opposed to
previous years when he was so overwhelmed that he learned nothing. He is
getting mainstream integration and loving interacting with his peers, and I
like that he can get it in small doses so it doesn’t become overwhelming for
him. I thank God everyday that we found this program because I don’t know
where we would be without it. Keep up the good work guys, you are
providing a much needed and much welcomed service to our special little
guys. Thanks so much. Jenn D -2011
My son is happier about going to school than he EVER has been. The
curriculum and Pieceful Solutions staff are some of the very best! Always fun
events planned for the children and their families and the children are
engaged in every part of the program. This has been an awesome experience
so far and truly a place we will stay, as he continues to successfully grow
academically and socially . Thank you Kami for establishing this program, we were lost before becoming a part of it. ~ Holley and Canyon - 2011

I don’t think its one particular thing. It just works best for my child. It allows him to stay engaged with "normal" children while still getting what he needs for disorder and what he needs in order to thrive. -2011
It is so refreshing to have my child in an environment where she is not "different" anymore. My son can come to school and be accepted and understood for the way he is. Self- Storage is great as well as the specials and other outlets that these kids need so much. He comes home now and says he has friends. That's huge. -2011
The support received for my son from everybody with the program. The feedback I get from the staff and follow up is what is needed and received. -2011
I like that it's tailored to my child special needs. -2011
